    In the US and other capitalist countries, the ruling class has unleashed racism, targeting people on the basis of race, religion, and national origin to smash the united struggle of the working class and people. Imperialism has been attacking all the achievements of humankind in the twentieth century, trying to take the world back into medieval times.

  •  Mazdoor Kisar RallyOn 5 September 2018, lakhs of workers and peasant from all across India marched to Delhi to express their anger against capitalists and their government. They staunchly opposed the anti-national, anti-worker, and anti-peasants policies of the government.

  • Victory MTG in RajasthanThe peasants tasted sweet victory on 1st September in their long struggle for compensation under the Crop Insurance Scheme. The peasant leaders had been discussing the matter with the Additional Superintendent of Police, Sub-divisional Magistrate and officers of the Bank. They came to an agreement that within ten days the compensation under the Crop Insurance Scheme and the additional bank interest charged hitherto would be credited to the accounts of the peasants of Ramgadh, Gorkhana and Bhukarka.

  • thumbnailLok Raj Sangathan submitted a petition on 13th September 2018 to the Additional District Collector of Nohar demanding that theft of irrigation water from Amarsingh, NTR and DPN tributaries.

  • AILRSA The All India Loco Running Staff Association (AILRSA) successfully concluded its regional convention on 4 September 2018. The convention took place at the procession house situated in the Tughlakabad railway colony in New Delhi. The Delhi region committee of AILRSA along with its Tughlakabad branch were established at the convention.

  • The utterly draconian character of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the manner in which it is used to crush the voices of dissent has once again come to the fore. The UAPA is a fascist act that provides legal justification for the most bestial attacks on the human, democratic and national rights of our people. It allows the state to detain innocent people for long periods of time without having to prove them guilty.
  • The problem of Non-Performing Assets (NPA) or bad loans, particularly of public sector banks (PSB) shows no sign of abating. The NPAs of Indian banks are now reported to be the fifth highest in the world. International agencies like the IMF have expressed concern that the bad loan problem of Indian banks could come in the way of India’s growth.
  • teachers5th September was declared Teachers Day – a day when this vocation should be celebrated and acknowledged throughout the country for its invaluable contribution to society. However, in our country, the profession of teaching has been devalued over the years.

  • arrest of human rights activistsThe August 28 raids by the police on the homes of human rights activists in many cities accompanied by arrests of five prominent activists has aroused a storm of protests all across the country. All sections of the people have condemned the government for the raids and arrests and the disinformation campaign being carried out against the arrested activists. Reports of protest actions have come in from different regions of the country.

    In a coordinated operation on August 28, the Pune police launched simultaneous raids in Mumbai, Delhi, Ranchi, Goa and Hyderabad, on the homes of several persons known to be working for the rights of the dispossessed, including trade union activists, lawyers, writers, poets and priests. Five well-known human rights activists have been arrested – Sudha Bharadwaj, Vernon Gonsalves, Varavara Rao, Gautam Navlakha and Arun Ferreira – on trumped up charges of “instigating violence” following a Dalit rally at Bhima Koregaon on 1st January 2018. They have been arrested under the draconian Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). The government is carrying out a disinformation campaign through sections of the monopoly controlled media, linking these activists with an alleged plot to kill top leaders of the government.

  • In every part of the country, people are facing violence and terror in their daily lives. Hatred is spread against people of a particular religion, caste, race or language. Every week brings fresh news of physical attacks targeted at individuals or groups of people. People are killed and the guilty get away scot free. Progressive thinkers and journalists get assassinated and nobody gets convicted or punished. Political activists and intellectuals get arrested on false charges. Anyone who fights for the rights of any section of the oppressed people is treated as a criminal, branded as “anti-national”, “terrorist supporter”, “Maoist sympathizer” or “Pakistani agent”.
  • The military-strategic alliance between India and the US is anti-national and war-mongering

    Statement of the Central Committee of the Communist Ghadar Party of India, 24th August 2018

    The inaugural ‘two plus-two’ dialogue between India and the US is scheduled to take place in New Delhi on September 6, 2018. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Defence Secretary James Mattis will be hosted by their Indian counterparts, Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj and Minister of Defence Nirmala Sitharaman. The declared purpose of these talks is "to discuss strengthening strategic, security and defence cooperation”, for US and India to “jointly address challenges in the Indo-Pacific region and beyond".

  • ​Rajasthan Farmers agitationOn 20th August 2018 farmers from Hanumangarh district in Rajasthan blocked the traffic on Ganganagar-Delhi Highway. This is part of their agitation against the denial of crop insurance under the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme (Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana). The blockage of traffic continued till 11 PM in the night.

  • Demonstrators in Telaviv against Land ActThe Nation-State Bill or the Nationality Bill was adopted by Knesset (the Israeli parliament) on 19th July 2018. The law became one of the basic laws. Basic laws are similar to a constitution and underpin Israel’s legal system and are more difficult to repeal than regular laws. The law specifies the nature of the state of Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people.

  • Central Railway suburban rail motormen strike work

    On 10th of August 2018, from the morning hours hundreds of Motormen of Central Railway, led by their joint unions refused to do overtime work. Over the course of the day, this resulted in cancellation of hundreds of trains. The agitation was led by CRMS (Central Railway Mazdoor Sangh and supported by the Joint Action Forum (consisting of AILRSA, RKS, All India SC/ST Association and All India OBC Association) as well as by all the motormen.

  • Kerala-floodsThe people of Kerala are going through extremely difficult times. Unprecedented floods all across the state have resulted in the death of over 400 people, as of August 21. More than 10 lakh men, women and children have been forced to abandon their homes and are now living in one of nearly 6000 relief camps set up across the state. The destruction of human lives and property is truly colossal. Lakhs of homes have been destroyed or severely damaged. Thousands of kilometers of roads and highways in the state have been destroyed.

History of Ghadar PartyA Presentation of Communist Ghadar Party of India

100 years ago Ghadar Party was formed by Indians in the US.It was historic milestone in our anti-colonial struggle.

The goal of this party was to organise a revolution to liberate our motherland from British servitude and establish a free and independent India with equal rights for all. It believed this to be the necessary condition for our people to hold their heads high anywhere in the world.
