AILRSA Central Executive meeting held

The Central Executive of the All India Loco Running Staff Association (AILRSA) was held in Jain Dharamshala in Delhi on 8th August 2013 in an enthusiastic atmosphere. More than 50 members of the North-Western and South-East Railways attended the meeting.

The meeting was led by Prabhunath Singh and N B Dutta.

The following decisions were taken in the meeting:

  1. The strike call given by AIRF and NFRI will be fully supported. There was a proposal to constitute a joint committee similar to the NCCRS constituted in 1974, so that the unity of the railway workers is strengthened and the strike is a success, . At the same time, important demands of the loco running staff will included so that it is easier to mobilize the loco staff.
  2. A decision was taken to request the Labour Ministry to make a fresh appointment to fill the post that became vacant with the retirement of the Judge of the National Industrial Tribunal. It may be noted that the Tribunal is dealing with the AILRSA case.

Manifesto 2014Unite around the program to reconstitute the Indian Republic and reorient the economy to ensure prosperity and protection for all!

There is growing realisation among workers, peasants and other self-employed people that the program of liberalisation and privatisation only serves to enrich an exploiting minority at their expense. Mass resistance is growing to this anti-worker, anti-peasant and anti-national program.
