Martyrdom Day celebrated in Kanyakumari

The visionary ideas of these martyrs have been such a source of inspiration for the people of India that public meetings and rallies are held all over the country, including South India, around this occasion. The message and deeds of these martyrs are so popular and well-known in Kanyakumari district, in the southern tip of Tamilnadu, that communist parties, trade unions, peasants and youth organisations recall their sacrifice with fervour by organising public meetings, rallies, discussions and debates and putting up posters all theouhg the district.

KK meeting

Comrades of Ghadar Party and youth organisations organised a discussion on the life and work of the martyrs at Kalingarajapuram on the seaside of the district. The discussion was led by Com Wilson, spokesperson of the Party. Participants reiterated the need to establish a society free from all forms of exploitation.

Participants took inspiration from the revolutionary struggles of our people against colonialism, imperialism and capitalism. They pledged to organise workers, peasants, women, youth and students in the area to build a new India free from exploitation.
