The All-India Loco Running Staff Association (AILRSA) successfully concluded its annual conference at the baraat ghar of the Meerut Railway Station on 24th June 2019, the first anniversary of the establishment of Meerut Branch of the association. Nearly 160 activists participated along with the office-bearers at the branch, mandal, zonal and central executive levels.

Nearly 160 activists participated along with the office-bearers at the branch, mandal, zonal and central executive levels.
This program was presided over by Shri Ramsharan, the all-India Vice-president. Com. M.N. Prasad, the General Secretary of AILRSA, pointed out in his speech that the Railway Administration was doing injustice to the running staff by not giving them running allowance according to the 1980 formula. He said that if the administration did not accept their demands, loco pilots all over India would go on a hunger strike on 15th-16th July even as they ran their trains. If the administration persisted in not accepting their demands, the loco pilots would be forced to go on strike.
