Sexual harassment charge against Chief Justice of India: Justice demands an impartial enquiry
The Supreme Court of India is the highest judicial authority in the country. The Chief Justice of India (CJI) occupies the highest seat in this highest judicial authority. The charge of sexual harassment against the CJI, by a former court employee who was posted in his house, is an extremely serious matter. The way the Supreme Court has responded to this charge and dismissed it in just 15 days has exposed the ugly face of the entire judicial system.

Millions of workers across the world poured onto the streets on International Workers’ Day, 1 May. The anti-worker character of capitalist states was again exposed when the May Day rallies of workers faced brutal repression by the police in France, Turkey, Russia, Indonesia, Philippines and many other countries.

May Day meetings held in and around Chennai
In spite of the Police giving Elections as an excuse to refuse permissions for Mayday meetings, workers gathered under their trade unions and held militant Mayday rallies in all factories and work places all over Tamilnadu. Gate meetings were organized by the respective unions at the VHS Hospital – Adyar, at the Chennai airport (Air Corporation Employees Union ACEU, Air India Employees Union), Bhadra Cargo Complex (Bhadra Workers Union), at the Cantonment Board office at St.Thomas Mount (Cantonment Board Employees Union).

The first part of this pamphlet is an analysis of facts and phenomena to identify and expose the real aims behind the Note Ban. The second part is devoted to a critical appraisal of the government’s claims that it will reduce inequality, corruption and terrorism. The third part is what Communist Ghadar Party believes is the real solution to these problems and the immediate program of action towards that solution.

There is growing realisation among workers, peasants and other self-employed people that the program of liberalisation and privatisation only serves to enrich an exploiting minority at their expense. Mass resistance is growing to this anti-worker, anti-peasant and anti-national program. However, the working class is being prevented from realizing its potential as the leader of all the exploited, and as the grave-digger of capitalism, by those in the communist movement who are spreading harmful illusions and compromising the class struggle.
